Muta is back from Busworld 2023 in Bruxelles where our partner Konvekta AG’s new CO2 (R744) heat pump thermal management system for electric double-decker buses has been nominated for the Innovation Award at the Busworld Europe 2023 trade show.

Improved efficiency and range
Konvekta also presented to the public a number of its other products at Busworld Europe 2023, including its roof-mounted Ultralight (UL) 700 CO2 heat pump, which has been found to increase the range of an electric bus by up to 60% and reduce service costs by up to 70%.
Konvekta also introduced its patented “refrigerant charge balancing” system, Additional Energy Storage (AES) software, Energy Collect module and its module for battery temperature control. All of these technologies are designed to improve the efficiency of an electric bus’s heating and cooling systems, as well as improving its range.

At the Mekra stand we focused on Turn Assist System AAS, protecting vulnerable road users. Thanks to its smart operating modes, the AAS triggers alerts when bicyclists or other vehicles enter the detection zone. False alerts due to stationary objects are kept to a minimum. [ more info ]
